On The Road Again: A Tooth Taxi Update
by Mary Daly, Program Manager, Tooth Taxi
Update #6 | 10/13/08 | Amity
Wednesday morning we arrived at the van, in the gated (but unlocked) parking lot at the elementary school to find the van had been egged with about half a dozen eggs. After speaking with the principal, Dr. Heringer wasted no time borrowing a ladder from the janitor's closet and began cleaning.

We had two guest volunteers that day: Dr. Robert A. Darke and his assistant Natalie Hardin, from West Linn.
We were also visited by the photographer from McMinnville's, Yamhill Valley News Register newspaper. Photo/story has not been posted online yet.
Amity stats:
- 53 kids screened
- 27 kids treated in the van
- $17,799 free dental treatment provided
Next week's news: Central Linn re-cap
Next week on the road: Santiam Canyon
