Prineville & Salem Paddy Pint Runs
Dr. Tony and Dannielle Ramos at the Prineville Paddy Pint Run
Cheers to Dr. Tony Ramos, and Dr. Kristen Smith two dentists who are truly making a difference!
Jacki Gallo, DFO Executive Director went to Prineville for the fourth annual Prineville Paddy Pint Run. The run was a huge success, and approximately 300 runners registered and took part in the festivities. It was a great event to be part of, and we are so lucky to be the beneficiaries of Dr. Ramos' amazing community work. He did such an incredible job getting his community involved. It was wonderful to see the Prineville community gather and engage for the benefit improving oral health for Oregon's children.
The Tooth Taxi and several of us from the DFO were able to take part in the first annual Salem Paddy Pint Run on March 18th, with over 375 registered runners. We were able to show off the Tooth Taxi on site, and give tours throughout the race. Dr. Kristen Smith and her office put this run together, and brought the Salem community together to help children in need of dental care. The proceeds of the event benefit the Tooth Taxi. Dr. Smith, thank you for being an inspiration to the community.
Both Paddy Pint Runs were terrific, and we are so thankful to Dr. Ramos and Dr. Smith who have stepped up to run these events for the benefit of the DFO. If you would like to host any type of event for the benefit of the DFO and Tooth Taxi, please reach out to us and let us know how we can help you.

The Dental Foundation Hires a Executive Director
The Dental Foundation of Oregon is excited to welcome Jacki Gallo as our new Executive Director. Jacki is a native Oregonian who has spent many years as a consultant working with boards cultivating and partnering with them developing goals, objectives and operational plans Jacki earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Lewis and Clark College with a major in Political Science and a minor in Communications. She received her Juris Doctorate at the University of Oregon School of Law. In addition, Jacki has a Masters degree in Tax Law (LLM) from the University of Washington School of Law.
Jacki is very excited to join the DFO; "I have a strong passion to help improve the lives of children. Without proper dental care, the pain and health risks children face are detrimental to their lives. It is my hope that by providing dental care and advocacy for the under-served children of Oregon, their lives will be enriched and they will be set up for success."
Jacki was the Project Manager and Chief Executive Officer for Stephen's Place (an assisted living community serving developmentally disabled, semi-independent adults). She was chair of the American Cancer Society's annual gala last year raising over $400,000. She also was involved with the Knight Cancer Challenge, serving as a member of the Knight Cancer Council, and OHSU's Planned Giving Council. She advocated for and helped The Knight Cancer Institute raise the $500,000,000 goal, which was completed in twenty-two months. Jacki is part of the steering committee for Medical Teams International's annual fundraiser, The Great Adventure. Currently, Jacki is the founder and President of The Gallo Group, LLC, which provides comprehensive family office consulting services to high-net worth families, as well as to private charitable foundations.
Jacki lives in Beavercreek, Oregon with her husband and two daughters. Her other interests include marathons for cancer awareness, water and snow sports, and spending time with her family.
