Molalla, Molalla Elementary, July 25th-29th 2016
This week the Tooth Taxi followed country roads out to Molalla Elementary for our annual summer visit. Blane Lazar and his crew are always well prepared for us and so much fun to work with. One of the advantages of our return summer visits is getting to see an increased number of returning patients and this site was no exception. Over half of the students screened were ones that we had seen in previous years. To be able to check in with past patients and see some who had cavities or infections previously and a year or two later are cavity free is very rewarding and not something we always get the opportunity to do.
We also welcomed our newest assistant Saje during this visit. She did a wonderful job of interacting with the kids and jumped right in, helping Dr. Rice and Itsiie with treatment. We are excited to have her as a member of our team!
Together they were able to screen 55 students and provide $14,291 in free dental care.
