High school students that were seen on the Tooth Taxi in April at Parkrose High School had the opportunity to have their treatment finished during our first site visit for the 2012-2013 school year. It was the perfect way to get 3 days of treatment in before heading to Medford for the Mission of Mercy.
One nervous patient required the persuasion of his classmates in order to make his first visit to the Tooth Taxi. He came back for a second appointment the next day to complete the remainder of his treatment.
We had a call from Portland's Friends of Creston Children's Dental Clinic about a young student that had been up all night with a toothache. Creston didn't have any dentists at the clinic and wondered if we could help out. Mom and patient made it over to Parkrose High School and Dr. Moffitt took care of an abscessed tooth and other dental needs. A relief to the family and especially to the young student in pain. Often our mobile unit happens to be in the right place at the right time!
