#31 & #32 Klamath County
November 3 – 12, 2015 by Carrie Peterson

In November the Tooth Taxi made the long trip to Klamath Falls. We began our visit at Stearns Elementary. Dr. Herzog saw many permanent molars with decay at this site. Treating these teeth was a priority for our visit along with preventing future decay by placing sealants on 43 teeth. Local dentist Theresa Tucker, DDS and her assistant Christina joined us on Friday helping to provide additional treatment. We are appreciative that Dr. Tucker is always willing to donate her time and skill to us when we are in Klamath Falls

The staff here showed great interest in our visit. Many teachers came out to visit the Tooth Taxi and signed up for classroom presentations. The student population at this school is 340 and Catherine provided oral hygiene education to 287 of them!

The following week we headed even a little further South to Merrill Elementary where Dr. Timothy Moore, DDS and his assistant Janet were kind enough to help us for an afternoon. Here again we had great interest in classroom presentations, providing oral health education to another 127 students.
