#5 Canby
January 29, 2014 by Mary Daly

The Tooth Taxi returned to Trost Elementary in Canby to continue treatment on students from our first visit.  Between the two visits 22 students had their dental treatment completed.   We had planned one more day to wrap up but it was cancelled due to the snowstorm.  Once again everyone at the school was very helpful and grateful for our services.

All veteran Tooth Taxi volunteers at Canby:
Dr. Julie Dewey
Dr. Andrea Beltzner
Dr. Rick Asai

Other notes:
54% of students screened needed treatment
46% needed no treatment.

And from Tony Crawford, former teacher in the Canby school district and current OEA Vice President:
"I have heard directly from Canby students regarding their great experiences with the Tooth Taxi.  Thanks for organizing such an outstanding program.  I'm glad for OEA's support!"
