#23 Klamath Falls
The team headed out Sunday for the long trip to Stearns Elementary in Klamath Falls. The Tooth Taxi was once again un-manned with an all-female crew! A big thank you to former Tooth Taxi dentist Dr. Jennifer McLeod who took a break from private practice to hit the road again.

Staff at Stearns Elementary was very helpful and they had a great volunteer helping the entire week. School staff and teachers were grateful for services provided to the students. The percent need may have only been 47% but those students needed a lot of work requiring multiple appointments. School staff said there were so many other kids that needed treatment but didn't sign up, even after several attempts to contact parents.

Students and staff were very curious about the Tooth Taxi. A number of teachers visited the van. Weather was beautiful all week and each afternoon loud F-16's flew overhead.

Realities from the road:
When arriving at the school to confirm location on Sunday evening it was surprising to us how run down and in need of repairs the school was. It is a tough time for schools.

Other notes:
46% of students screened needed treatment
54% needed no treatment.
