#33 Portland CTS
October 14, 2013 by Mary Daly

We had a beautiful week at Portland's Community Transitional School; sun all week and kids who really want their turn on the Tooth Taxi! They were excited to see us and looking for our mascot Scout when we arrived. Thank you to volunteers for all their service. Monday, Dr. Stapleton did our screening in the lunchroom, he had fun listening and talking to the kids. Dr. Jan Peterson was here on Tuesday and Thursday seeing patients and keeping us all busy.

Ilya Babiy RDH and Dan Reynolds manned the portable unit in the lunchroom. Dr. Andrea Beltzner, a frequent volunteer, joined us on Wednesday. We loved Dr. Beltzner's terminology for anesthetic: "the sleepy bugs are pinching so take a deep breath through your nose" and "wiggles" for extractions. Friday former Tooth Taxi dentist, Dr. Jennifer McLeod, was here, always great to have a familiar face back on the Tooth Taxi.
