|#32 La Grande
|October 7, 2013 by Mary Daly
The Tooth Taxi made its first trip to La Grande serving students at Greenwood Elementary School. A very busy week with volunteers and visitors from the community who helped provide care for the students. Coming from the west side of the state we expect sunshine in Eastern Oregon…but, after a beautiful drive east we had rain. The gift? A spectacular rainbow arching over the Tooth Taxi.
We welcomed Becca Jordan to the Tooth Taxi team as our newest assistant. Becca came from ODS/Moda Health and is excited to be making a difference by helping kids.
We received this lovely note from a parent whose children were treated by Dr. Mayes and Marie Wourms:
To the wonderful staff,
Today both my children benefited from your foundation. I cannot think of how to begin to thank you. A huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I'm sure you've heard before how stressful and embarrassing it is to not be able to get your children the care they need. People like you are an answer to peoples prayers, may God bless you all for all you've done for others. I wish I knew how to tell you exactly how much you've helped us, but again, all I can say is thank you.

Can I tell you something? One Time I bit the dentist.
My lips feel like meat fat….dry and rubbery
